             Psalm  51

L.         Have mercy upon me, O God,/ according to your unfailing love/, according to your great compassion/ blot out my transgressions.

P.         Wash away all my iniquity/ and cleanse me from my sin./ For I know my transgressions/ and my sin is always before me./

L.         Against you,/ you only, have I sinned,/ and done what is evil in your sight/, so that you are proved right when you speak/ and justified when you judge./ Surely I was sinful at birth/ sinful from the time my mother conceived me./

P.         Surely you desire truth in the inner parts;/ you teach me wisdom in the inmost place./ Cleanse me with hyssop /and I will be clean;/ wash me,/and I will be whiter than snow./

L.         Let me hear joy and gladness;/ let the bones you have crushed rejoice./ Hide your face from my sins/ and blot out all my iniquity./

P.         Create in me a pure heart, O God,/and renew a steadfast spirit within me./ Do not cast me from your presence/ or take away your Holy Spirit from me./

L.         Restore to me the joy of your salvation/ and uphold me by your generous spirit../ Then I will teach transgressors your ways/ and sinners will turn back to you./

P.         Save me from bloodguilt, O God,/ the God who saves me,/  and my tongue will sing of your righteousness./ O Lord, open my lips,/ and  my mouth will declare your praise./

L.         You do not delight in sacrifice, / or I would bring it/ and you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings./ The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit;/ a broken and contrite heart O! God, / you will not despise./

P.         In your good pleasure, make Zion prosper;/ build up the walls of Jerusalem/. Then there will be righteous sacrifices,/ whole burnt offerings to delight you;/  then bulls will be offered  on your altar./

All. Glory be to Thee O Lord.

L.  It is good to give thanks to Thee  O Lord

P.  and to sing praises to your exalted Name/   to proclaim   Your loving kindness,  at the break of the day/,  and  your faithfulness during the  night/. O Lord!, listen to our voices at the dawn/,  and in the morning may You find us ready /. O Lord absolve and pardon all our sins/.  O Holy One, overshadow your right hand over us/  and heal all our infirmities/, for the sake of  Your eternal Name/.  Aameen/.

INTERCESSIONS

Response.  Lor have mercy upon us all

O Heavenly father who loves  mankind even when  they are backsliders and  ungrateful.

O Son of God who  showed us the way of salvation from sinful life.

O Holy spirit who leads us constantly and watches us from the  evil ones.

O Holy Trinity preserve us  in your good care so that we may become heirs in  your kingdom along with the  holy ones who pleased you by their good life, along with our  departed dear ones.

Lord preserve  your church  so that she may   bear witness to the world for all your goodness to mankind.

Please save our church from divisions and quarrels  and help her children to grow in  your likeness.

Lord keep our  dear Bava Thirumeny in good health. Give him strength to guide  your children in good ways.

Now we remember our dear Thirumeny and all our bishops , priests . Please keep them in your good care.

Lord bless our teachers, parents, brothers and sisters, our grand parents and all our relatives. Keep them from sickness and  all other tribulations of living.

Bless our parishes and  our  diocese here.

May the grace and mercy of our  lord be with us all.
