Sunday Evening

How great and glorious is our Lord!  He who observe the Sunday with faith and devotion is blessed because it is more important than all the other days. Because death was annihilated on this day, the heaven and the  earth rejoice. The departed receive consolation and   those who are living  get hope.

O Lord!, On Sunday,  make us worthy to shine with holiness and  purity, to praise you with  good deeds and  to observe your commandments with joy and happiness.

Lord, make us bearers of your Gospel among the gentiles and  our own people,  by living according  to the  teachings  of  the holy Apostles. Let us be  light and model for those who are in the darkness of the heart because they do not  believe in you. Protect us  in  your mercy by the power of your holy cross from the  power of death and  the world  and their deceipt.                                     

Sunday  morning

Make us worthy to praise you sincerely on this day in which our bondage was  released . On this day  of our salvation may we not make you angry by being lazy and  concerned only with the things of the flesh. May we follow your mother and saints and  we along with our faithful departed stand before you on the day of your glorious appearance.  Barekmor

Make us worthy to be  depending only in your grace by denouncing all activities that are detesting before your holy presence.  Make us worthy of your  grace, to succeed  Satan, his power  and his deceitfulness. Make us again worthy to receive you  without any shame and to join with those  who are on your right side.

Lord make us worthy  of   fine perfection and peaceful  death.  Save us from the  enemies who are hidden and  open.  May your holy cross be a saving defence.  Make  our inner eyes shine.  Make us worthy to praise you with grateful heart for all your help.

As we  obey our  earthly parents and make them happy, bless us to obey you with  justful activities and  true faith.  May we and  our faithful departed receive  mercy, forgiveness of sins and blessed happiness in the kingdom of heaven, by the prayers of your mother and your saints.

MONDAY

Monday evening

Lord, since it is impossible to  pray to you for the forgiveness of their sins, after the separation of the body and soul, they ask you  while they are together in the world, be merciful  at the judgement seat

O! Lord you be the day  that will not pass by this passing evening. Let your holy cross that protect us  be a fortress from the evil one and his hosts.   Moriyo…..

Lord, since the evening caught us and put us in the hours of the night, you be our sun at night and help us to  move in you.

Monday Morning

In the morning the trumpets sounded and the Israelites shouted that ‘He is the Lord God and the walls of Jericho fell.  O! brothers, let us also sing aloud , so that God may show mercy to the whole world. Barekmor.

In the morning when Daniel  from the den of the lions, and Jonah from the depths of the ocean prayed, Lord, you saved  Daniel from the  den and Jonah from the  ocean. Likewise show us mercy and save us from the evil one.

Petitions

Lord open the door which is filled with mercy.  Hear our prayers and show mercy to  our souls.

O Lord who is the  light that  brightens all the creation in the morning, shine our insights, so that we may offer thanks for your mercy.

Tuesday  

evening

Blessed is the one who gave the evening of  peace and night of consolation, so that all the toilers and workers may take rest  and to praise the father who created us and the Son who saved us by the cross and the holy spirit.    Barekmor

He is blessed who keeps  his faults before his eyes, like David the just king and the glorious prophet. Like David who said ‘Have mercy and forgive my sins’, give  us penitent hearts so that we also may say  likewise.

Tuesday Morning

Lord, even though we sin and repent wilfully, we say that Satan trapped us into sin.  We are mistaken.  Alas, we have not repented. Oh! The last judgement is  approaching fast. Lord, be merciful to us on the day of judgement.  Barekmor.

Lord, because you said, ‘ seek and you will receive, and it will be open to the one who will knock on the merciful door, we come near you and knock at your door. Give us what we ask. Blessed is the one who left the door open for the  sinners who repent.

Lord have mercy upon us in this passing morning. Let us stand on your right side in that eternal morning. Lord, as the dove brought the olive leaves to Noah the just,  as a symbol of consolation,  let our prayers return to us  bringing grace and mercy from you.

WEDNESDAY

Evening

O! holy virgin Mary, we are  unworthy to describe your glory.  Your life is beyond description.  O holy virgin who became the mother for the Lord of all, may your prayers be a help  for us.  Barekmor.

Lord, by the prayers of  your virgin mother who gave birth to you, drive away the punishments and the rods of rage from your church.

Lord, make us worthy to sing your praises in the company of the holy virgin who gave birth to your in her virginity

O, mother of God, we beg you to pray to Him  the king of kings, to establish peace and concord all over the world and to avert the rods of rage from the earth.

Wednesday Morning

O Mary the daughter of David, blessed is the Messiah who chose you  from all the  tribes of the world, and took flesh from you and came on earth like an ordinary human being while he was God himself. He humbled his glorious nature to the lowest estate.  Because of this let  there be praises for Him since he increased the memory of his mother all over  the world

O Mary you are blessed because you gave birth to the living son of God. Blessed are you the adorned ship, in which Messiah dwelled in it like a merchant. Blessed are you the perfect place which received the heavenly artisan. You bore him and gave birth him without breaking your virginity. Blessed is the Lord who rose from you.   Moriyo…

O son of God, who was born in flesh from the daughter  of David, shower your mercy in plenty on  your flock.

THURSDAY

Evening

holy apostles, the preachers of the Faith, who went out in the world, like farmers,  pray that the tares  to be uprooted from among us and the good seed will  not be pressured. He who sowed his Gospel in the world is blessed.  Barekmor.

When, Job from the filth, Daniel from the deep den and the three children from the fiery furnace called  , you saved them. Like wise we the sinful and weak ones call  you. Have  mercy upon us.   Moriyo…..

O Lord, because of the prayers and requests of the holy fathers and faithful advisors, have mercy upon your church which I saved  by the holy cross.

Thursday  Morning

Like the apostles who suffered poverty to please Messiah and received Holy Spirit and the key of heaven and earth , O Lord, make us worthy to please you and to suffer poverty for your holy name. May we receive all blessings and help from you by their prayers.  Barekmor

Like Joshua, the son of Nun, who is stopped the sun and moon in the sky, Lord, by the prayers of St. Thomas and the other apostles, who are  his comrades, remove punishments, rods of rage and discord from your church. Cross is the sign of peace. By the cross we are saved. We take pride in it. O Lord, Jesus,  we take refuge in your cross every day. May it save us from the evil one and  make inheritance in the kingdom of heaven.  Barekmor.

O martyrs  who suffered oppression and  evil deed from the unjust  judges, like, like rewards are kept  for you in the incorruptible shining  bridal chamber, may we also become worthy of good reward with you, by your prayers.

SATURDAY

Evening

O Lord!  Make those priests and deacons who  served you  at the  altar of the churches and monasteries,  holy.  Because they celebrated your holy body and  blood in their hands for  the remission of  sins, may their debts  be absolved  by your holy body and their  sins be forgiven by your  blood and may they stand at your right side and sing your praises.    Barekmor.

May our  departed who received  your body and blood be remembered well in the heavenly Jerusalem.  When you sit on your judgement seat and separate the  good from the bad, may they stand on your right side with pleasant faces.  Moriyo…..

Saturday Morning

May the angels lead the  priests who served  at the altar because of the love for the Lord, to the joyful place. Son of God! do not forget the  priests who served you in holiness. Give them plesant  faces  on the great day of your coming.    Barekmor
