Corporate Management (Colleges)

On 5 July 1979 the Corporate Management was created to bring the colleges of the Malankara Orthodox church under its umbrella. The corporate Management was created to control and monitor the activities of the colleges. St. Cyril's College, Adoor, Catholicate College, Pathanamthitta, Baselios College Kottayam, K.G.College Pampady, M.D.College Pazhani and St. Mary's College, Sultan Bathery come under the Corporate Management.
Daniel Mar Philexinos (1979-82) and Mathews Mar Barnabas (1982-92) have held charge of it. Since 1992 Metropolitan Philipose Mar Eusebios is the Manager and since 1994 Prof. V. I. Joseph is the Secretary of the Corporate Management. The office is located in the Devalokam Catholicate Aramana.

1. Catholicate College, Pathanamthitta:
The long cherished desire of the head of the Thumpamon diocese, Puthencacu Geevarghese Mar Philexinos to found the first college of the Malankara Orthodox Church in Pathanamthitta was fulfilled in 1952 When His Holiness Baselios Geevarghese II Catholicose started the Catholicate College. Daniel Mar Philexinos (P.E. Daniel Ramban) was the first principal. There are 4000 students getting their education here. The college has 147 teaching and 147 administrative staff on its rolls. There are degree courses in English, Malayalam, Hindi, Economics, History, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology and Commerce. The college also has a Research Center equips scholars to reserve Ph. D from Mahatma Gandhi University. Research facilities are available in the Departments of Malayalam, Hindi, Zoology and Botany. The College also has a study center of the Indira Gandhi National Open University. A PGDCA Course is Computer Science is also offered. Metropolitan Philipose Mar Eusebios is currently the Manager. 2. Baselios College, Kottayam:
In 1964, this college was founded in memory of His Holiness Baselios Geevarghese II Catholicos in the premise of the M.D.Seminary,Kottayam. The motto of the college is to learn, toil and love. 95 teaching and 60 administrative staff is serving in the college. The college offers Post Graduate Courses in English, Economics, Political Science, Malayalam, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology and Commerce. 3. K.G.College, Pampady:
On 14 February 1981 the K.G.College in Pampady was started in memory of Kuriakose Mar Gregorios. Its aim is to create socially responsible youth. 43 teaching and 36 administrative staff is currently serving there. There are 1101 students undergoing various courses now. The college offers graduate courses in Economics, Chemistry and Commerce. In the resultants if examinations the College secured the first place in Kottayam district and second place in the whole of Mahatma Gandhi University. Since 1981 Prof. Titus Varkey was the Principal.

4. St. Mary's College, Sultan Bathery:
St.Mary's College in Sultan Bathery was started in July 1965 under the leadership of Fr. Mathai Nooranal. Its objective is the social uplift and education of the "adivasi and village folk". This is the first institution for higher education in the Waynad district. There are 135 on the staff and 2062 students in this College. Principal: Prof. Korah M. Mani, Dr. K.I.Kurien, Fr. Koshy Chacko, Prof. K. C. Peter, Prof. Sai Krien, Dr. K. P. Johny (81-98) Prof.T.K.Thomas were the Principals at different times. The college offers post graduate courses in Politics and Chemistry and graduate course in Economics, Politics, Chemistry, Physics, Botony and Commerce.

5. M. D. College, Pazhani:
In 1982 M.D.College in Pazhani was started in memory of Pulikottil Mar Dionysious I. There are 25 teaching and 24 administrative staff and the student strength is 520. The College offers postgraduate course in Economics and graduate course in Economic and Mathematics. Prof. K. M. Kuriakose and Dr. K. T. Kurien have held charge. From 1995 to 1998 Prof. P. C. Alias,Prof. E. John Mathew are served as the Principals. Dr.V.Mathew Kurian is the Principal now.

Metropolitan Mathews Mar Coorilose (His Holiness Mathews II Catholicose) founded in 1981 the St. Cyril's College in Adoor. The College is located on Cyril's Mount, Kilivayel, Adoor. Its objectives are belief, hope and service. There is 36 teaching and 31 administrative staff with student strength of 893. The College offers graduate courses in English, History and Chemistry. Thomas Mar Dionysios started on 8 July 1964 the St. Stephen's Collge in Pathanapuram. Its objectives are service, sacrifice and Salvation. The Mount Tabor Dayara in Pathanapuram runs the College. In 1964 Metroplitan Mathews Mar Coorilose (His Holiness Mathews II Catholicose) founded the St. Gregorios College in Kottarakara. Its objectives are to impart a Christian-oriented education and a God-conscious society. 105 teaching and 66 administrative saff are currently serving there. The superior of Mount Tabor Ashram in Pathnapuram, Thoma Mar Dionysios, started the Mount Tabor Traning College in July 1960. Its objectives are to create teachers with a vision. There are 8 teachers and 9 administrative staff currently serving with student strength of 221. Vincent Murthy (1960-81) and Fr. K.A. Abraham (1981-95) have served as principals. Since 1995 Prof. N. In 1995 His Holiness Baselios Mar Thoma Mathews II Catholicose started the Mar Baselios Mar Thoma Mathews II Training College. It functions under the Management of Bethlehem Ashram in Chengamanad.
